Pacer Steel, Inc. is the newest name in the Northwest steel placing industry. Since the company's inception in January 05, Pacer Steel has successfully completed many projects, and is currently working on multiple projects in the King, Snohomish, Island and Pierce County areas. The company is focused on providing General Contractors the highest level of quality and performance in the field and in management. The company's founding and corporate officers are; Paul Reising, President, and Richard Ross, Secretary/Treasurer and Field Superintendent.
The development phase of Pacer Steel began in March 2005 as a medium-sized steel placing business with six projects already contracted to begin work in March and April 05. The company quickly landed large-scale contracts with local General Contractors, many who share a solid working relationship with Pacer Steel.
Pacific Erectors, Inc. employed the President of Pacer Steel Inc., Paul M. Reising, for 17 years, supervising many projects as a Project Superintendent. His skills in managing people and working with many varieties of General Contractors have earned him a solid reputation in the steel placing industry. Secretary/ Treasurer, Rick Ross, began working for Pacific Erectors in 1987 and soon moved to Hawaii where he worked for the company as a General Foreman and Project Superintendent from 1988 until 1997, when he returned to Washington and went on to become Field Superintendent for Pacific Erectors in 2000. His experience in Contractor relations and his diverse ability to overcome problems of any kind have helped Rick to earn an excellent reputation in the industry.
Projects our supervisors have managed include the largest multi-structure Microsoft Campus Projects (St. Andrews, Augusta, Troon, Red West, Sunset North, Pebble Beach). Other projects include Westlake Tower, Terry Ave High-Rise, SeaTac Airport South Parking Garage, 23rd & Madison, 8th and Madison, Harborview hospital, Centralia Steam Plant, various parking garages such as the Eastgate Park&Ride, Lexus of Bellevue, Northgate Mall Garage, Group Health Eastside, several large projects in Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada and many others. Pacer Steel has the most experienced, skilled and most efficient employees available in the Puget Sound area.
With the combined knowledge and experience of the corporation's owners, and the experience and foresight of the Project Superintendents, Pacer Steel has become a very competitive force in the steel placing industry. Commitment to high quality, efficiency and safe working practices will make Pacer Steel the leader in the area. Pacer Steel's Controller, Ray Macky, has decades of experience in GAAP and was employed by Pacific Erectors, Inc for 18 years. His experience and skills assist Pacer Steel in efficiently operating. Cathy Sanders, Office Manager, keeps the Pacer Steel engine running smooth with her knowledge and experience in payroll and all human resources. Craig Carlson, the company's Safety Consultant, has completed OSHA training 500, 501, 510 and 311 Fall Arrest Systems, is a Competent Person for Excavation, Certified Rigging Gear Inspector, and Certified Forklift Instructor as well as an OSHA 10 & 30-hour authorized outreach trainer. Craig's expertise helps provide Pacer Steel and their Ironworkers a complete service in their Accident Prevention Programs, including Site Specific Fall Protection Work Plans, training and documentation to assure compliance with the applicable OSHA, DOSH Safety and Health Codes. Each of the members in management has worked together for nearly two decades and all excel at their positions.
